Level 3 - Intermediate Skate Dance - 6 Week Course - Holborn
Skill Level 3: Over 18s who can confidently roller skate forwards, backwards, turn and stop.

Join us for a jam-packed 6 consecutive weeks of one hour intermediate level skate dance lessons. Our instructors will introduce you to the key skills needed to dance on your roller skates. They will break down rhythm and jam skating moves and show you how to combine them to create fun routines and sequences. All in a safe and inclusive indoor space to help you perfect those moves.
No prior knowledge of skate dance is required but you will need to be comfortable on your skates to get the most out of this course. If you want to go over some basics first try our Learn to Skate or Beginner Skate Dance courses where we work on the foundations of skating.
What will I learn?
- How to dance on your skates.
- Footwork and rhythm skating skills.
- Combining steps for fun routines.
- Exercises to improve your balance and coordination.
- Drills that you can practice at home.
You must bring your own quad roller skates, protective wrist guards and knee pads. We are unable to teach you without these for your safety.
Requirements to protect our floors:
- Wheels must not be harder than 99A
- Jam plugs or toe stops are required
If you haven't replaced or removed any parts of your skates they will meet the above requirements.
Helmets and elbow pads are encouraged but not mandatory.
Wear something you're comfortable to move freely in, glitter and disco vibes are always welcome.
Bring a refiallable water bottle, all our venues have water refill stations.

No on-site parking available. Bicycles can be left in reception at your own risk.

Entrance to Holborn House Community Centre is on the pedestrianised alleyway on the north end of Emerald Street (off Lamb's Conduit Street).
When you arrive at the glass doors press the Emerald Hall button on the intercom panel to the right of the front door. Please be patient as we may be instructing a class. Once you enter reception head down the stairs to your left.
Facilities:
Dinking water refill, changing rooms and lockers are available.

We cannot offer catch up classes if you miss a session, but we will always do our best to recap on any content that you may have missed.
Unfortunately you can’t join a class if you are, or suspect you are pregnant or postnatal due to the risk of falling.
We may take photographs and videos at our classes. If you would prefer not to be filmed or don’t want us to use your image for promotional purposes just let us know.
